We rely heavily on open standards and we mask the technology specifics of our solution as mush as humanly possible, priding ourselves in a pragmatic and solution oriented relation to technology.
We consider our technology as a integral part of our interface to our partners. We keep this interface flexible, graspable and usable.
All our software run inside any modern web-browser.
Our SaaS model
We deliver Software as a Service, but our customers can choose whether to run the services in the cloud (ref. cloud computing) or as an internally hosted server for added hands on control.
Our application technology stack
We run on the LAMP-stack (Linux or any *nix, Apache, MySQL and PHP) together with technologies such as APC , Memcached and Varnish.
APIs and Plugins
Our partners can easily extent our software to meet specific customer needs through our extensive open APIs and plugin environments. All external RESTful interfaces build on open standards, such as HTTP/1.1 (open standard W3C/IETF, http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616), XHTML, JavaScript / ECMAScript-262 (open standard ISO/IEC, http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/files/ECMA-ST/ECMA-262.pdf), XML, CSS, and so on.
Scaleability
We have been working with large news media sites for five years, and our software is built to scale both horizontally (i.e. diversity in content and services) and vertically (i.e. extremely many users per content).
Changeability
We rely heavily on testing, such as unit testing and and regression testing, and continuous integration and deployment to allow our software to develop and respond to new requirements, without being concerned about whether are introducing new problems.
Agile continouity
Our products are developed and maintained continually, and we deploy fixes and improvements relentlessly and without unnecessary delay. Our work practices are derived from Agile, Lean, System Thinking, Kanban and good old common sence practices, which are all harmoniously related to each other.
